Spencer's journey has been marked by immense challenges and triumphs. He attended Texas A&M University and competed as a member of the Judo team. Not long after graduating, he was blindsided by a metastatic cancer diagnosis. Battling cancer at a young age and undergoing intense treatments like chemotherapy, surgery, and a double stem cell transplant undoubtedly took a toll on his body. Now, facing kidney failure as a result of the stress his body endured adds another layer of difficulty. The next step is dialysis and/or kidney transplant. Finding a donor is crucial. To look at him, you would never know he has such an illness. He is otherwise in great health, and his faith, family, friends, and fight keep him moving forward. He often leads with a smirky smile, a sense of humor, and a bit of sarcasm. His ability to connect with others is inspiring, and he has a soft spot for children. His three children are especially important to him, and they enjoy special moments together, such as nightly story time, complete with Spencer’s animated storytelling talent. Spencer & Hailey have been married 10 years, and they make a point to attend church on Sundays and give back by serving others. As he navigates the process of finding a kidney donor, Spencer’s role as a devoted father and husband undoubtedly fuels his determination to overcome this latest challenge.
